The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea

The Owl and the Pussy-Cat
 By Edward Lear

The Owl and the Pussy-Cat went to sea
   In a beautiful pea-green boat:
They took some honey, and plenty of money
Wrapped up in a five-pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,

And sang to a small guitar,
"O lovely Pussy, O Pussy, my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
            You are,
            You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!"

Pussy said to the Owl, "You elegant fowl,
   How charmingly sweet you sing!
Oh! let us be married; too long we have tarried,
But what shall we do for a ring?"
They sailed away, for a year and a day,
To the land where the bong-tree grows;
And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood,
With a ring at the end of his nose,
            His nose,
            His nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose.

"Dear Pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your ring?" Said the Piggy, "I will."
So they took it away, and were married next day
By the turkey who lives on the hill.
They dined on mince and slices of quince,
   Which they ate with a runcible spoon;
And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon,
            The moon,
            The moon,

Spirit rested necklace

Why did I title it a spirit rested ? you may wonder.
Whenever I’m wearing my necklace I end up going through the charms and pieces I have collected there, the tactile sensation of going through each piece calms my spirit, and it is rested.
It also brings memories, the crystals were bought on a holiday , the small little figure was given to me by a friend so by having them all together in one place , on a necklace, every time I look at it and every time I wear it. I remember those people and those places.

CrEAte & hAVe FuN, hugs Wendy.

Faerie frames for Valentine’s Day

So quick project for you all to try for Valentine’s Day.
 Using the Sandra Everston
Relics and Artifact Cathedral windows they are thin so they could be made into a card which is what I did with one of them and they also very light so they’ll make very good ornaments to go on the tree and the they the perfect for painting they take paint really well. This idea could easily be Adopted for Christmas, for Halloween witches, for Easter with faeries with bunnies ears .. now that’s an idea.

Hope you enjoy the video if you have any questions just drop me a comment and I will be happy to help.

I am A Muse

Yes I am a muse. I’m so darn excited and honored to be joining the Muse design team for 2020 at Sandra Evertson Relics and Artifacts
For the audition we were asked to make a simple project using the fabulous products from Sandra's line of goodies. "Sounds easy doesn't it ?"  But to actually pick one item to highlight was more challenging than I thought. I swear everytime I go to the site, I'm like a kid in a candy store.

But I love this face in the visage set
At the same time I was thinking of what to do with the face. I watched a video about the Monarch butterflies arrival in Mexico each winter.

So on November 1st the nearby forests are filled with  millions of beautiful Monarch butterflies which also happens to coincide with Dia De Los Muertos.

And because of that amazing coincidence the butterflies are thought to hold the spirits of the departed.
They have become part of the festival.
So the idea of my project began to take form.

So there it is, titled Mariposa ( butterfly )

supplies used

8, x10, white canvas

Polymer clay
Butterfly mold
 Acrylic paint  black
 Inka Gold and silver wax
