Remember the other day when my printer died and I wanted to make something with a cute freebie from Hidden Vintage studios. Well here it is The egg is a vintage chocolate mould ... it was my grandads William Thomas Davis and he would make chocolate Easter eggs for us every year. They were beautiful , with icing flowers and little chicks and our names piped in white icing . I wanted to honor his creativity with a paper version.
Taken from Kirsi private collection of cabinet cards...... A kit to play with available today at deviant scrap, It comes with both altered and unaltered I love the pretty tapes and pale spring colors myself
so much so I made a spring inspired banner which when the sun comes out I'll show you
For the rest of the year each month I will be sharing the glue bookpostcards pages I am making for a swap at blissfull ART
Edith of ( Downton Abbey is going on a grand tour of the world and she going to sent home postcards from her travels ... one to let Mama and Papa know she's well and having a jolly good time but also so she can rub in to Mary want a great time she having without her.
Edith first port of call is the romantic city of Paris . Edith has an appointment withThe French designer Madeleine Vionnet , after all she will need a whole new wardrobe for her trip and she will make time to go the the outrageous Moulin rouge. But I don't think she should mention that on the postcard to Papa...

For the first time ever I'm entering the world of selling some of my artwork . It started with a chance meeting at the Lakewood 400 http://lakewood400antiquesmarket.wordpress.com/ ... I found a super, cute store The ribbon emporium http://ribbonemporium.blogspot.com/ that sold the most wonderful hand dyed laces and ribbon I nearly brought out the whole shop.
The next month when I went in the the ribbon emporium to buy some more lace...Mary noticed one of my soldered pieces around my neck and there and then asked if she could buy it ..... That has never happen before and I was somewhat shocked and surprised but in a good way ... it was nice to know someone thought my art was pretty enough to want to buy.
So after I had walked around the rest of the show I went back and sold my necklace. Mary then asked if I'd like to sell some of my pieces in the store
This weekend my soldered shadow box necklaces and faerie boxes will on sale exclusively at The ribbon emporium at the Lakewood 400 friday March 15th to Sunday 17th. If your in the area. Please pop in They have all manor of vintage bits and bobs in them. From old lace and buttons to old pearls and stamps. All top of with some good old glitter. Each one is unique and one of kind. I'm a little scared about taking the plunge but then I think what the heck ... if they don't sell I have all my christmas presents sorted for this year
Using the second of Itkupilli Victorian inspired kits I made this titled "A morning walk in the garden" I thought of Elizabeth Bennett /Darcy walking in the garden after her wedding. She looks thoughtful maybe there's a surprise she needs to tell.... Credits: Itkupilli rusty views, spring flowers , roses Victoria clip art 2
I know there's a story behind this one but I not sure what... I tilted it " Frolick in the factory" but I not sure Why they are in the factory? what's with the Ostrich?.... Maybe the point is that you make up the story.

and this one was inspired by the new Jack and the beanstalk movie ... It was one of my favorite faerie tales as a child ... A magic land in the clouds with untold riches ... a brave hero... magic seeds. Also It reminds me a little of the ending credits to the Monty Python show. I think its the foot ...
