As my"I do like to be by the seaside" swap partner Elsina received her parcel, I can now show what I sent her ....
I made soldered charm necklace with the image of a bathing beauty, I made a rose perfumed pillow and large tags with more bathing beauties.
I found charms in the shape of a shell, a sand dollar and a seahorse.
I also found a chocolate mold in a shape of a fish. I cut seahorses from a old book pages. I also added blue ribbon and yarn which looked like seaweed.
I really enjoyed putting this swap together and also it was wonderful to receive a parcel from Elsina. Had had to use some of Elsina photos, as in my rush to get it in the post. I forgot to take photos of everything.
Have a great weekend

It is ATC day
ATC's are coming out of the woodwork today...... Dee Dee's ATC came today and we have been trying to figure out why it was taking so long to get to me? I joked "that it went to the beach for some R&R" But today it made it's appearance and it is beautiful and well worth the wait. "Thank you Dee". I was swapping with Dee as part of our "sister swap" on my other blog: blissfull ATC swap.... Http://blissfullatcswap.blogspot.com follow the link if you want to check us out.. Our theme for August is ORANGE and if you'd like to join us then email us at
blissfullatcswap@gmail.com. There is still time. I will post the swap partners on Sunday.
Also I had a ATC from my dear friend and fellow blogger Electra. Her blog is http://wishiniknewhowtoblog.blogspot.com and she's wonderful and talented, so do yourselves a favor and go see her.
and my last ATC came from Jona all way from the Philippines. http://artworksbyjona.blogspot.com I swapped one of my "GROW" ATCs and she sent back this.... isn't it great? So a "Thank you" to Jona too. I m adding them to my ATC tree so I can see them every day.
And now for my question of the day: If you have ATC's
how do you show them? Well, I found small clips from the Tim Holt's line and with a small wire tree I brought at Easter.
Now I have my ATCs out on my craft table where I can see them.
Inka at http://alteredartifacts.blogspot.com had the great idea of hanging them from a wire hanger. Her post is called "Dustin off my ATC's."
From Scattered Scarlet http://3djean.blogspot.com/ we had a great idea for hanging them with pegs that she had stamped with pointy fingers . Her post is called "more pointy fingers" if you want to go look.

GC64 Yellow, Orange and red Titled "THE KEY TO MY ART"
The challenge at Gingersnap creations http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/ this week is yellow, orange and red . My piece is titled "The key to my Art." Because the key to my art is not to take it too seriously, it is about having fun.
Art Creation Friday Challenge 84 Titled "If you go down to the woods today"
As a child my Nana would sing this song to me "If you go down to the woods to day, you'd better not go alone , if you down in the woods today I'd wished you'd stayed at home." I woke up humming it and then saw the Friday art challenge http://artcreationsfriday.blogspot.com/. This little boy looks as if he is ready to go into the woods to look for bears.... What do you think? He looks like a bear hunter to me.... Stay out of the woods today because everyone knows the teddy bears are having their picnic.

An absolutely fabulous day
I went to the post office this morning, bright and early before to got too hot and on the way home I noticed an antique's mall. So I pulled over and went in....well it 's a good job I did'nt have more money in my purse because I saw lots of stuff that I wanted. But resisted and just picked up small baby boots, an old book, old photo and a glass dome.

Can it get any better?
YES because a box arrived from Elsina in Israel http://emsarts.blogspot.com/. She is my swap partner for the "I do like to be by the seaside swap" and she send a box of goodies.
A journal, ATC and a tag, all hand painted with Elsina own water colored paintings. A sea horse figurine, a painted candle. Vintage buttons and ribbon and lace, some stickers and some shells. Shells from the middle east doesn't that blow your mind... they are in a bowl on my coffee table.
Thank you Elsina for your beautiful gifts... I hope you like what I sent you.
And as a thank you to all my followers... please take the photo. A gift from me to you ..enjoy

Rewind week the 70s" I'll do this But I'm not wearing bellbottom jeans!"
When I saw Angela's post about rewind week I thought "oh heck I hated the 70s". I was seven in 1970 and in 1979 I was 16 years old.... I remember some parts of the 70s as wonderful but others were terrible.
I am a person who remembers events in the clothes I wore, some people it is smells or songs but me it is clothes and wow did I remember some terrible clothes in the 70s.
Pippa Dee party were all the rage and I remember my mum buying a outfit from them; it had blue and white flowers in a valor fabric and had shiny pants to wear with it.... what I didn't like was that you could wear it to sleep in.... I remember going to school and some boy asking me if I had forgotten to get dress... that was the last time I wore it... I hid it under my bed and there it stayed until I out grew it.
I also remember the 1st pair of heels, well tree stumps! would be a better description. They were platforms with a wedge heel . They were solid wood, so very heavy and very tall. The first time I wore them out was to walk down the village. I twisted my ankle and had the limp home. Of course I had to listen my mum's "I told you so." so I bet your wondering what were the good parts of the 70s? well I was young, the music to the most part was pretty good Michele Jackson, Donny Osmond and David Cassidy to name a few. BUT I was in love with the BAY CITY ROLLERS... I was going to marry Woody.
So in light of my love of 70's clothes my rewind project is this .... A depiction of 70's clothes at they best. The writing at the back of my figure in the words to my next favorite song Jimmy Osmonds "long haired lover from liverpool" Hugs Wendy at http://blissangels.blogspot.com/

A Triptych Arch.. A Marie Antoinette Arch for Gothic Arch Challenge and Brag Monday
And now for some thing completely different.... I don't tend to do Marie Antoinette art. I don't know why? The film "Marie Antoinette" is one of my favorites. I love watching it for the beautiful sets and every time I do, I think about putting ribbons and jewelry on my two dogs...and eating cream cakes..... I have already told Mr. husband that next we go home to England I want to make a stop off in Paris.
So when I saw the challenge post by the Gothic Arch Challenge blog last night I wanted to rush to the craft room and make a Marie Antoinette Arch. I made a triptych arch instead. The images are from the graphics fairy so I'm going to link this up with Brag Monday too.

A swap arrived from Angela
In the midst of junk mail, a newspaper and a bill from the gas board there was a letter for me.... a special letter with a surprise inside. A artist trading card from my dear blogging friend Angela from Sew Loquacious. Would you like to see? It is beautiful..... Are you ready? Okay here we go....she hand sowed tiny seed beads and tiny black buttons and it has a small sliver cross..Our theme is "sisters" I think Angela summed it up very well .... if you would like to join us in swapping ATC's. Our theme for August is "Orange" just leave a comment at http://blissfullatcswap.blogspot.com/.
Thank you Angela for letting me have your first BUT not last ATC.
I look forwards to a lot more trades with you and is a pleasure to have you as my friend.

cApTuReD fAeRieS tRaY
It was nearly Mother's day, so when asked what I would like the boys to buy me.
I answered the tray. I loved the idea but didn't know what I wanted to do with it until day. Do you get ideas in the middle of the night ?? I do, at three this morning I woke with a idea of what I could do with my mother's day gift..... and this is what I created.
The writing around the edge says "Faeries like shiny, bright objects to capture a fairy, hang crystals from bushes and trees. Lay out honey water or lemonade and small pieces of cake.
They only come out in the summer on warm sunny days.
When capturing a fairy have a clear glass jar ready but let them go before sunset or they will turn you into a toad."
